Charcoal shapes to paper sculptures

I really enjoyed experimenting with charcoal.  I had only seen it used by street artists in Italy to draw caricatures.  By using a rectangular shaped charcoal, I was able to create shapes simply through the movement of my wrist.  I then developed this further by creating a paper sculpture of one of the shapes.
