Reading up on the Cornish myths as well as legends tied to the neolythic sites featuring stone circles led me to think back to some strangely stacked stones (which I unfortunately chose not to photograph as I felt they were 'funny' but unimportant) as we walked to the site. I started to look at a variety of temples and burial and solstice sites.
The play of chiaro scuro,of light and shade, and how light penetrates spaces, and how it reflects on water prepared the basis which allowed me to develop a series of designs which could 'capture' the sun as well as create shapes in and on the water.
