Psithurism [ sith-yuh-riz-uhm ] - whispering of the wind

As it was quite a blustery day on our visit, I thought it would make sense to develop a device which could take make sounds with the wind. I investigated some Cornish wind instruments such as the cornish huers horn and the cornish bagpipes, and looked into replicating something along those lines.

I looked at designs such as the Aeolus Acoustic Wind Pavillion and considered developing something along the lines of the Singing Tree but with holes so that it could be played by children a bit like a recorder or a flute.

However upon reflection I decided that the sound would have been unbearable for the locals and possibly give the children nightmares with the haunting sounds as demonstrated by the video below.
