WHAT WE COULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY
If the budget was higher more and better materials could have been ordered and used to develop the proposal. Also, because there was a low budget it limited different and possibly more interesting and ‘alternative’ ideas and designs.
If there had been more time the design could have been developed in a less rushed manner and greater thought could have been given to details.
In hindsight there should probably have been more communication at the beginning. This would have allowed us to address issues right away than have to deal with them mid-project.
WHAT I LEARNT
Collaborating as a group allowed us to identify each other’s strengths in designing. This was efficient as it allowed us to work and focus on different roles.
Working as a group helped us combine our ideas and designs which helped design an efficient outdoor learning space.
Building a design on a larger scale was a new and great experience. It was quite complicated at first as I had to use new tools and larger materials, however after that, it progressed smoothly, and I really enjoyed it!
